novels by Stephen King…which sould I read?
I’m getting into Stephen King and I was wondering which book of his you think I should read….i’ve read Different Seasons (composed of his 4 novellas) and Cujo. What is a good book of his that I should read next?
The Shining, The Stand (the unedited version) and It are all great, scary reads

I really liked The Stand.

Maybe try his collections of short stories called "Everything’s Eventual" this way you can still test his material to see if you like it. It’d be easier to do that than to pick up one of his massive novels – start reading it – and then realize you’re not entirely fond of his work after all.

It!! It seems for all the questions like this that is the book i ever recommend. I’ve only read like 11 of his books but out of them all It is definatley the best followed y misery and then the stand.

Good, you’ve read two of the better ones. I was sort of partial to Cujo, (but I don’t really have time to get into it here on what I think it’s about), and Different Seasons.
Don’t be fooled by some people, do not read The Stand, a vastly overwritten pastiche of bourgeoisie values and no redeeming strength of plot or character development ending in an absolute dud of a battle between good and evil, black and white, as if the world can be divided by such categories except in the minds of content middle class Americans.
But other of King’s books that are good are:
The Running Man, my personal favorite King, dark, edgy, and just all around and incredibly intense read.
It, an interesting fable about childhood, genuinely terrifying to me at least.
Lisey’s Story, the most personal and touching of his works, as well as an interesting fantasy novel.
On Writing
and The First Dark Tower Series Book, to see if you’ll like it.
