007 Die Another Day (2002) IMDB rating: 6.10 Plot: Pierce Brosnan gives one last mission as James Bond. Starting off in North Korea, Bond is betrayed and captured. 14 months later, Bond is set free, but traded for Zao (Yune) who was captured by MI6. When back in his world, Bond sets off to track down Zao. Bond gets caught up in yet another scheme which sends him to millionaire Gustav Graves (Stephens). Another MI6 agent known as Miranda Frost (Pike) is also posing as a friend of Graves. Maybe try his collections of short stories called "Everything’s Eventual" this way you can still test his material to see if you like it. It’d be easier to do that than to pick up one of his massive novels – start reading it – and then realize you’re not entirely fond of his work after all.

Good, you’ve read two of the better ones. I was sort of partial to Cujo, (but I don’t really have time to get into it here on what I think it’s about), and Different Seasons.

Don’t be fooled by some people, do not read The Stand, a vastly overwritten pastiche of bourgeoisie values and no redeeming strength of plot or character development ending in an absolute dud of a battle between good and evil, black and white, as if the world can be divided by such categories except in the minds of content middle class Americans.

But other of King’s books that are good are:
The Running Man, my personal favorite King, dark, edgy, and just all around and incredibly intense read.

It, an interesting fable about childhood, genuinely terrifying to me at least.

Lisey’s Story, the most personal and touching of his works, as well as an interesting fantasy novel.

London, November 05 (ANI): A Brazilian man had surprise in store for his grieving family when he walked in alive at his own funeral.

Fifty-nine-year-old Ademir Jorge Goncalves was reported dead in a car crash, forcing his family to arrange his funeral the next day.

However, the bricklayer had actually spent the night at a truck stop chatting with friends.

In the mean time, a dead body in the car accident was wrongly identified as Ademir’s.

When Goncalves came to know about his own funeral he hurried off to his family who had gathered for the ceremony.

Police spokesman said that the body identified as Ademir’s was badly disfigured. "The corpse was badly disfigured, but dressed in similar clothing. People are afraid to look for very long when they identify bodies, and I think that is what happened in this case," the Telegraph quoted the spokesperson as saying.

However, police revealed Ademir’s mother had doubts.

Later the dead body initially thought to be Ademir’s was correctly identified. (ANI)

Am I obligated to my blind mother when she treats us badly?
For the last few years now I have been fighting with my mother (who is completely blind) always has been. She is very productive (a teacher). But she is driving my brother and me crazy. My brother was in town and the whole time she ran him ragged taking her here and there. Numerous times she wanted to eat out in nice restaurants and never offered to pay for her meal once. He paid EVERY time. The state will give her a certain amount of money she can bill them to pay for personal assistants. So I go and work for her, cleaning, helping her sort clothes, etc. Well, yesterday my husband was going to drop her off to get her nails done..my car was broke down. But he and I got into a huge fight and he said, If I wasnt going to do anything for him, he wasnt doing anything for me..So I had to call my mom to tell her he wasnt taking her. She got really mad at me and hung up on me. It wasnt my fault!! I couldnt control what he would and wouldnt do. So now, Im pretty sure I lost my job because of this. She gets on a power trip when I work for her. She will "fire" me over something that happens on personal time. Not work time. How do I handle this? She also smokes pot.
I would love to have a good, nurturing mother. Not someone that I cant respect and she is very selfish.
